So that was it, India bamboozled South Africa at their home. A massive series win by India because it was our mindset that Asian batsmen feel uncomfortable in South African pitches because of the pace and bounce they offer. Their are many aspect about this result.First of all, the Indian top 3 batsmen were invincible, they scored about 60 to 70 percent of the score in this series.

One of the main reasons of Indian victory was “King Kohli” who has lead India from the front, taking all the responsibilities as a captain and key batsman of the team. When he came on the crease, as a fan I personally was feeling that South Africa had no clue to stop him but lower middle order is a spot of bother for India because they didn’t finish well in many innings despite having a very good start and middle over partnerships.

Another main thing was the different bowling attack introduced by India. Those 2 wrist spinners were making the life difficult for South African batsmen. Because when a partnership was about to built they both came in and pick up that odd wicket due to which South African batmen had to do their job from the start.

Lack of partnerships were the biggest reasons of the defeat for South Africa as their main batsmen like Amla, AB de Villiers and Duminy were not in full flow.Yeah their players had injuries but that is not an excuse because a team like South Africa should have done better then that at their home conditions. In the end I would say that this is the biggest series win by India against South Africa because watching those matches one must feel that the matches were scheduled in India instead of South Africa.
